Your request is reminiscient of some discussion which took place
on gen.nativenet in May/June 1995 regarding native rock performers. You
might want to look up that discussion in the archives, as there were some
interesting contributions. I kept some of them and include them here now
for your information.
[ "gen.nativenet" is the old name for what is now the "indig.info" confer-
ence on the APC systems, such as Greennet in England (from where the
question was posted), Web/Nirvcentre in Canada (from where this article
was posted) and IGC in the U.S. (with which the NATIVE-L list is con-
nected). --Gary (gst@gnosys.svle.ma.us) ]

Susan (and her manager, Val Haas) can be reached by snail-mail at #1002-5
Rowntree Rd., Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada M9V 5G9; by phone @ (416)
744-1513; or by fax @ (416) 744-1581... alas, no e-mail address yet.
In addition to the very nice (if somewhat over-produced) 'Arctic Rose',
don't miss her EXCELLENT new CD 'This Child', her Christmas CD, and (often
overlooked) her first production - a cassette called 'Dreams For You'.

"Without Rezervation" is a rap group from Oakland, CA. Their album is
called "Are you ready for WOR?" They are on Canyon records. The other
group is "Robbie Bee and the Boyz from the Rez" with and album called
"Reservation of Education" on Warrior/SOAR records from Albuquerque.
Both are quite good, very political and educational, if you like rap music.

Let's not forget some other performers (perhaps uniquely Canadian) within
this category, such as:
Buffy St. Marie
Robbie Robertson
Kashtin (a Montagnais duo mixing native language and French in popular rock)
