[ As I have stated in an article just posted ("NativeNet: developing and
articulating a shared vision"), I am both closing this discussion thread
and requesting that similar questions regarding trivia relating to Native
people not be asked via NATIVE-L, at least not until we have been able to
do more in the way of coming to some agreements as a community about what
we would like this list to be and how we want to use it. I want things
to be as open as possible, but I'd also like to establish some priorities.
Thanks to everyone for your understanding and cooperation. --Gary ]

Thanks Feather,

With the info you gave me I was able to track down a CD and have it playing
now, as I write. Couldn't find it at first because Georgia's last name is
spelled Larsen. So when the record shops would look they would tell me,
"nothing by that name"

For everyone else whose intrest was piqued, it's called "Ojibway Square
Dance (Love Song)" and it is to the basic tune of "Turkey in the Straw"
(Good ear Cathy!) only better! It's on A CD called "More Music From
Northern Exposure" Make sure you get the one with the "moose", I think
there are two Northern Exposure CD's.

Anyway, it's great and thanks again Feather. (Any chance of getting the
words from you? It's hard for a Lakota boy to catch them all)

Mitakuye Oyasin,
