Since your list seems way broader than rock per se, here's one:
Jim Boyd, Colville (an Idaho tribe if I'm not mistaken): musician and
vocalist. He wrote and performed all the music (and does the lead
vocals) on the recently released CD "Reservation Blues," lyrics by
poet/fiction writer Sherman Alexie (Spokane/Coeur d'Alene); based on
Alexie's book of the same title. An exceptional CD, if you ask me.
