During the coming year, Sacred Run participants will continue to carry the
Message that all Life is Sacred, and that we are related to this planet we
call Mother Earth, and that we have a responibility to maintain the delicate
balance that exists between humankind and all living species.
The Longest Run lll.....Sacred Run International 1996...will cover 2600 miles
in 100 days from Los Angeles to Atlanta with runners arriving on the eve of
the international summer Olympics. During this historic event 35 runners
will each run 30 miles daily.
Other activities for 1966 include the annual 500 mile runs in California and
the Run of the Ancestors (KY-Indiana-Ohio) and the May four day, four
directional 1,000 mile run from the Kickapoo Reservation in Horton KS.
Sacred Run will continue working with local schools and community educational
programs, running art exhibits crafts shows and their third alcohol-free New
Years eve powwow.
