On February 14 (4 pm to 6 pm) the Defence Committee of the Dutch
parliament will deliberation with the defence Parliamentary
Undersecretary Gmelich Meijling about the Canadian EIS and MOU
regarding the low-level flights in Labrador and Quebec, Canada.
The Dutch Royal Air Force want to increase the amount of low-
level flights from 2.000 to 4.000 sorties.
On February 4 the Dutch Innu Support Group placed a half-page
advertisement in one of the National morning papers 'De Volks-
krant' calling for a stop of the low-level flights above the
Innu. Many Dutch organizations signed the petition in the ad.
The Mp's will question the signing a new MMOU. Signing before
March 31 will have irreversible consequences before signing the
bilateral agreement with Canada which expire on December 31.
