The Traditional Mono Nation, a federally non-recognized tribe indigenous to
the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California, is planning to send a
delegation of traditional tribal Elders to the World Indigenous Conference to
be held in Albuequrque, New Mexico June 15-21, 1996. We are in the process
of raising funds to send a group of our Elders, and are soliciting
contributions at this time. The Elders will be attending the conference to
gather information on tribal sovereignty issues and aboriginal land rights.
Donations of any amount would be sincerely appreciated. For more
information, contact tribal representatives at:

kiyu1@aol.com or louisec@giant.sequoias.cc.ca.us
(that's the numeral "1" in "kiyu1").

Thank you for supporting the struggles of indigenous peoples!
