COPROALDE is a network of organizations in Costa Rica dedicated to
promoting organic farming, providing technical assistance and
facilitating exchanges among peasant farmers and Native Americans to
share their experiences with organic farming. COPROALDE works mainly in
Costa Rica, but with work on a Central American basis. However, wider
contacts up and down the continent would be beneficial. The idea is to
begin to link up communities involved informs of production that respect
and are in harmony with our Mother. Also to increase self sustainability
among communities without having to depend onchemical fertilizers and
pesticides produced by the industrial complex that collaborate in the
destruction of life in all senses.
COPROALDE hopes to contact other organizations with similar interest, for
exchange of information, seeds, and mutual visits among producers. The
sharing of traditional knowledge among brothers and sissters is part of
stregthebning the family.
