This sad news is from another list and I was hoping that someone
would take the intiative to post it to this list, but haven't seen it thus
far... so I guess I will. Maybe, some of the people on Natchat have seen
or heard this already.

The former chief of the Cherokee Nation, Wilma Mankiller has been
admitted to the hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She is undergoing treatment
for Lymphoma, a type of cancer that develops in the lymphatic system, which is
part of the immune system. As the lymphoma progresses, the body is less able
to fight infections. Her condition was discovered only recently.

At present, I haven't heard any other news about her, but if there are those
