Just to let those of you who have expressed concern know that Tom Porter has
been released from the hospital and is at home at Kanatsiohareke. I spoke to
him only a few minutes ago and I am happy to report that he is feeling well
and sounds like his usual chipper self. He expects to, again, be at the
Clearwater Revival Festival at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY
on June 15th and 16th. Also on the program that weekend is Abenaki
storyteller and noted author Joe Bruchac.

Clearwater's Hudson River Revival, for those of you who are are not familiar
with it, is a major festival of ethnic and folk music, storytelling, advocacy
groups, top quality vendors etc. It was founded many years ago by Pete
Seeger as a fundraising group to try to reverse the severe pollution of the
Hudson River. There is NAtive representation almost every year.
