The Threatened State of Tribal Sovereignty
a forum presented by the
American Indian Reserach and Policy Institute
A collective voice from American Indians is needed in response to recent
threats to tribal sovereignty by the courts, state governments and the U.S.
Congress. This forum provides an opportunity to address the pressing
issues of block grants, court decisions, devolution of federal trust
responsibilities, taxation of tribal lands, intrusive actions by state
governments and a hostile Congress.
