Aloha:

We are looking for regional and cross regional indigenous contacts who
are going to be attending the Second Commission on Human Rights Open-ended
Inter-sessional Working Group on the United Nations' draft "Declaration on
the Rights of Indigenous Peoples" next November. Our Pacific region is
coordinating a technical session in Fiji this September to prepare our
work. And, we would like to identify other peoples who are doing the same.
Please reply if you are interested in this discussion.

We have also have another discussion group on the PeaceSat each month from
the areas that have access to the technology. The areas currently
participating are: Fiji, Samoa, New Caledonia, Hawai`i and sometimes west
coast U.S. The program was fostered by the AFSC Pacific Program
coordinator Kilali Alailima. The next session will be: May 28 1:30 p.m. -
2:30 p.m. Hawai`i time. The phone number for the PeaceSat at the
University of Hawai`i is: (808) 956-2517. Please contact Kilali for any
information regarding the PeaceSat Pacific Program.

Aloha and we hope to hear from you...
Kekula
