The URL posted with the recent notice for the updates to the format of
the NADB-NAGPRA web page was incorrect. The following is the correct
Web Address:

http://www.cast.uark.edu/products/NAGPRA/nagpra.html

Comments from NativeNet listowner, Gary Trujillo (gst@gnosys.svle.ma.us):

I also have a correction to make (thanks to Wesley Westphal and Les Tate
for pointing out my error). I wrote:

| I believe NAGPRA stands for "Native American Graves Protection and
| Recovery Act."

It should be "Native American Graves Protection and *Repatriation* Act.

One more note - I'm still not able to accept notices of new Web sites on
the NATIVE-L list, because the volume is too great. However, I am working
on a new system to make such announcements easier. I'll provide details
of that system when it's ready for use.

If someone wants to post an announcement and tack on a Web URL for those
interested in obtaining more information on the subject, that's OK - but
short items of the form "Hey, take a look at what I've just put up on my
site" - or "Here's a new site you should look at" cannot be accepted at
present. Clearly, the Web itself is a better vehicle for such announce-
ments than is a mailing list, though I do hope to be able to post weekly
summaries of new additions to the NativeNet Web link database to NATIVE-L
once the new system is in operation.
