OBJECTIVES:
CO ENGFLDACT MW, Building 1A Suite 120, 2703 Sheridan Road, Great
Lakes, IL 60088-5600 B -- ARCHEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF HISTORICAL SITES, STUDY
OF PRE-WWII & WWII STRUCTS FOR THE NATIONAL REG OF HISTORIC PLACES, &
COLLECT/ORG/COMP HISTORIC STRUCT RPTS FOR 44 FACILITIES. SOL

688-3442 PWCGL intends to enter into a cooperative agreement with an
organization of higher education (or other organization/individual0 for
investigations, surveys nd reports on 1,645 acres of Navy property at
great Lakes. The agreement consist of 3 options which generally include,
but are not limited to, the following work: Option 1) Conduct intensive
archeological surveys of Native American sites, early European settler
communities, and WWII African American Recruit facilities; Option 2)
Study Pre-World War II and WWII structures for potential inclusion in the
National Register of Historic Places; and Option 3)
Collect/Organize/Complete Historic Structures Reports for 44 Major
Facilities. The Government reserves the right to award some, all, or none
of these options and/or individual items of work. The agreement will be
in the form of a cost-reimbursement contract. Solicitations and Scopes of
Work will be mailed to those organizations/individuals responding in
writing to this announcement. PWCGL will give preference, but will not
limit its solicitation, to those organizations which best meet the
following general evaluation criteria; (1) Organization's overall
scientific, technical or socio-economic merits; (2) Organization's
capabilities, related experience, facilities, techniques or unique
combinations of these which are integral factors for achieving the
proposed objectives; (3) Qualifications, capabilities and experience in
achieving the proposed objective; (4) Realism of the proposed costs and
availability of funds; (5) Geographic proximity to PWCGL; (6) Familiarity
with the history of the area where PWCGL is located. (177)
