Former White Earth Chairman Darrell "Chip" Wadena will await sentencing on
felony convictions behind bars for violating the terms of his release. In
addition to chairing a committee meeting for the Tribal Executive Committee
of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Wadena had the Shooting Star Casino pick
up the tab for his daughters wedding reception. Both in violation of the
terms of his release. Wadena reportedly told the judge that letting the
Casino pick up the tab for the reception was "a big mistake."
