A postdoctoral position is available in my lab to study human genetic
variation. The focus will be on the relatively ancient human population
genetic structure that is at the center of current debates on genetic
aspects of the origin of modern humans. The principal empirical method
will be the DNA sequencing of nuclear genes.
The primary criteria are a strong interest in the genetics of human
origins and a Ph.D in either evolutionary genetics or physical
anthropology. Funding is available for up to two years, beginning in
the fall of 1996.
If you are interested, please contact me, either by email or phone.
