The Caravan for Justice

Below is the itinerary for the Caravan for Justice. The
Caravan left the Pine Ridge Lakota Sioux Indian reservation in
mid-September and is traveling across the country towards Wall
Street, scheduled to arrive on October 29th for a mass
demonstration there.

Since the Caravan is on the road, if you want to make
contact with it you should contact the national office of the
Independent Progressive Politics Network at 718-624-7807 (t),
718-643-9603 (f), or indpol@igc.apc.org. We will be in regular
contact with Inila-Wakan, the main initiator and organizer of the
Caravan, as it travels.

Sept. 20-21--CfJ arrives at Hoopa Valley Indian reservation,
northern California

Sept. 22--Arrives at Carson City, Nevada for rally at the State
Capitol in support of the Treaty of Ruby Valley. Support for
native sovereignty and the western Shoshone.

Sept. 23--Arrives at Flaggstaff, Arizona. Traveling to Big
Mountain in support of the Hopi and Dine people.

Sept. 25--Arrives at Santa Fe, New Mexico for rally at the state
capitol. Stop the dumping of nuclear waste on native lands.
Suport the Mescalero Apache resistance!

Sept. 27-28--Arrives at Fort Laramie, Wyoming for treaty meetings
during the nine-nation treaty meeting to reaffirm the 1868
treaty!

Sept. 29--Arrives at Lawrence, Kansas. Demonstration for freedom
at Leavenworth on the 30th in support of Leonard Peltier

Oct. 1-2--Arrives at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Demonstration at
the state capitol building. Keep the B.A.T.F. out of our lives.
Memorial service for victims of Waco, Tx.

Oct. 3-4--Arrives in Little Rock, Arkansas for demonstration at
state capitol.

Oct. 5-6--Arrives in Jackson, Mississippi for rally at the state
capitol.

Oct. 7-8--Arrives in Montgomery, Alabama. Support for people of
color communities. Stop economic, social and environmental
racism. Solidarity with the Southern Organizing Committee.

Oct. 9-10--Arrives in Atlanta, Georgia for rally at the state
capitol. We remember the Trail of Tears and the forced relocation
and death march of the Cherokee people.

Oct. 11-12--Arrives at Columbia, South Carolina for a rally at
the state capitol.

Oct. 13-14--Arrives at Raleigh, North Carolina for a rally at the
state capitol.

Oct. 15-16--Arrives at Richmond, Virginia for a rally at the
state capitol.

Oct. 17-18--Arrives at Washington, D.C.--U.S. Capitol building--
We will shred the Contract on America there and let the political
puppeteers know our willingness to topple the social pyramid of
their corporate-dominated parties, agenda and policies. We invite
them to join us on Wall Street to come come forward and cut the
strings that manipulate their movement, the strings that make
them dance and sing for the pleasure of the false prophets.

Oct. 19--Arrives at Newark, Delaware for local action with
Student Environmental Action Coalition

Oct. 20--Arrives at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a rally at
City Hall. We remember the bombing of M.O.V.E. and those who lost
their lives. We remember John Africa, and we remember Mumia Abu-
Jamal. Stop the racist death penalty! Free Mumia Abu-Jamal!

Oct. 21-22--Rest days and a time for celebration before the final
leg of the Caravan.

Oct. 23-24--Arrives at Keene, New Hampshire for action in support
of local Green Party. Then on to Concord, N.H. state capitol, for
direct actions.

Oct. 25-26--Arrives at Boston, Massachusetts for direct action at
Government Center. Before leaving Mass. the caravan will mobilize
at Plymouth Rock on the 27th, in remembrance of the holocaust of
the more than 50 million indigenous people who perished in North
and South America as the result of the European westward
advancement!

Oct. 29--The Caravan for Justice arrives on Wall Street in New
York City for the National Mobilization. Solidarity Forever! Free
Leonard Peltier!
