LEONARD PELTIER STILL IN HOLE!!
Leonard Peltier remains in segregation at the medical facility for
federal prisoners at Springfield, MO. Arrangements are currently being made
to ensure a legal visit tomorrow morning. A letter was received today by
LPDC from Leonard. It was dated Sept. 30. In it Leonard reports that he
has seen several doctors. They are each telling him something different
about the condition of his jaw and the options available to him. He feels
they are trying to PRESSURE him into having surgery at this time. He does
not know which of the doctors, if any, are correct in their evaluation and
therefore can not agree to surgery at this time. Also, the conditions he is
being forced to live under are an outrage. There are insects in his tiny
cell. He is allowed only one phone call a month. He can shower only three
times a week and must write his letters with a one inch pencil. There is no
legitimate reason for him to be housed this way. PLEASE CONTINUE TO VOICE
YOUR CONCERNS!!
