I have just been advised by the Mohicans that on Monday (10.7.96)
Wal-Mart formally withdrew their plan to build a super store at Leeds Flat,
New York <http://www.pobox.com/~jsd/winch.html>. I will modify this site
immediately so that "thank yous" can be forwarded to Wal-Mart via the
input form.

All those who have joined in this fight to stop Wal-Mart are to be
congratulated...never underestimate the power of an email campaign... :)
