Subject: White Pine Smelter Application

There is an application for the new smelter in progress with the MDEQ
air quality division. It was originally filed for in 1995 and Tom Maki
of Marquette said that there has been little acitivity of late, though
the issue is being handled in Lansing.

also, there is an air emissions permit for the solution mine. does
anyone know what this is about? H2S?
