The agenda for this event will include a march on Squaw Peak led by the
Arizona Chapter Youth Council who is campaigning to change this offensive
name, not only at this site but at all geographical sites throughout
Arizona.
Other issues addressed by this conference will be:
Executive Clemency for Leonard Peltier
Mascots
Grave Desecration
Repatriation
Drug abuse and alcoholism
Education
Plastic medicine people and the selling of traditional spirituality and
sacred items
Police brutality on and off the reservation
The Buffalo Soldiers
Native children
"Autonomous Chapters"
We are hoping that a contingent from all AIM chapters throughout the
Southwest and the nation will be able to attend this Rally/Conference and
speak on the issues that most concern their chapter.
We also invite anyone interested in human rights issues to attend.
Clyde Bellecourt, Vernon Bellecourt, Dennis Banks, Mike Hainey and William
Means will be in attendance from the AIM Grand Council. Floyd "Red Crow"
Westerman will also be on hand for this first annual event.
