DUTCH LOW-LEVEL FLIGHT AGREEMENT WILL BE SIGNED.
An official of the Netherlands Department of Foreign Affairs
informed us yesterday that the new low-level flight agreement
between the Netherlands and Canada will be signed BEFORE the
parliamental debate on the agreement. There were some techni-
cal delays but it will be signed around 31 December.
So far, we were led to believe that the debate would take
place before the signing.
The parliament has Christmas holidays from December 20 until
January 20, so it is more likely that the debate on the agree-
ment will take place in the beginning of February, but one
never knows. In parliament a majority is in favor of the new
agreement.
