[ As most of you know, the NATIVE-L list does not generally accept questions
so as to reduce traffic on the list, and because the answers usually only
benefit the person asking the question. I am making an exception in this
case because it would seem that the benefit in this case would be to many
people, potentially over a long time period. I suggest that if anyone is
interested in the results of this survey, you contact Michael. Perhaps he
would be willing to post the results to NATIVE-L once he collects all the
opinions he seeks. --Gary (gst@gnosys.svle.ma.us) ]

Hello. I am a law student at William Mitchell College of Law,
and I am on a faculty committee attempting to propose a guest lecture
program on Native American Sovereignty Legal Issues for our school.

I would really appreciate any help you can provide with the following
questions:

1) In your opinion, what are [or will be] the four or five most
important legal issues or topics associated with Native American
Sovereignty now and in the next few years?

2) What speakers would you recommend on the subject of Native American
Sovereignty and/or legal or policy issues associated with sovereignty of
indigenous peoples in North America?

3) Do you have any other specific suggestions that I can use?

Please send your reply privately [so not as to disturb the native-l
list], to MikeRav@ix.netcom.com before 9 a.m. on February 23rd. Thanks,
I really appreciate your advice.
