The University of Miami Ohio has traditionally gone by the nickname
"Redskins." They have had the support of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma
until this past summer when the tribe withdrew their support. The
University then announced that it would change the mascot and name.
Recently, the university has decided to table the discussion until April.
It seems that they are willing to change the name, but they want to keep
the Indian Head Logo. I think they want to do like FSU does and be the
Miamis. There has been some talk about the "RedHawks" (But keep the logo).

This is consistant with what I have always said about these things, that
here at Florida State and at UMO "Tribal Consent" is a smoke screen and
the bottom line comes down to money. We need to remind these people that
public universities answer to the world and not just alumni and students.
