I got the message containing this statement confused with another that
arrived at about the same time. I extend my apologies for this error.
I would also like to pass on a description that I've received from Shane
Careveo that explains in more detail how his Native Events Calendar works.
I have not yet had a chance to try that facility myself, so I cannot vouch
for what follows. Please direct comments and questions to Shane himself:

Hi Gary,
Please let people know that I am working on changes that will do away
with the current problems of adding events. Also, events emailed to me
will get added within a day or two. Adding events is the only problem
the site currently has, and it seems to be limited to those adding events
through campus or work networks. I have used the id's and passwords of
those having problems myself, and have never had a problem, but because
several people have not been successful in using it, I am changing the
way it is done. I hope to have the changes made this week.
You can also announce my email list for events:
NativeEvents-list@caraveo.com
[ Note that upper/lower case distinctions are not important in e-mail
addresses, so "nativeevents-list@caraveo.com" will also work. --Gary ]
Postings to the list are not allowed by subscribers, so only events added
to the calendar will be sent to subscribers on this list. (added events
are also posted to alt.native). The list is a digest list. One email is
sent every Sunday containing the events added in the past week. If an
event is added that is occuring within seven days of being added, it will
be emailed ;o the list immediately.
To subscribe or unsubscribe, send email to:

No message is necessary.
Thanks, and I'll let you know as soon as I get the new system working.
