To all the companeras and companeros of the world:
A strong embrace to you from this our Mexico that seeks how to enter the
21st century with democracy, justice and freedom for all.
I want to inform you that due to changes that are being carried out within
the Zapatista Front for National Liberation, the International Commission
of the Special Commission for Promoting the FZLN has ceased functioning.
We will be formally establishing the Zapatista Front for National
Liberation with the structures, work plans, principled statement, symbols,
political positions, etc. that the majority is pushing towards.
Towards that end, the different civil dialogue committees, social
associations, men and women interested in building and supporting a new
organization that fights not for power but indeed for democracy, freedom
and justice for all, are carrying out meetings, discussions, dialogues,
encounters, throughout the length and breadth of our country.
And it is in this atmosphere of reflection and construction, that we have
decided that the different commissions that we had created to help in the
promotion stage of the FZLN, are dissolved and their members return to
their civil dialogue committees in order that from there they will support
the new stage of construction of the Front.
Therefore what remains of our short history is more than a year of serious
and selfless work on the part of all these supporters, who gave the best
of themselves indeed to push forward the committees training all over our
country, to link us with our sisters and brothers beyond our geographical
boundaries, to spread the Zapatista struggle to the entire world, finally,
to tend bridges and to build hopes.
From now on until the moment in which the structure, forms of
organization, work plans, etc. of the FZLN have been decided, the liaison
that was maintained by the companeros and companeras of the International
Commission of the CEP with all you, will continue being done exclusively
to and from, the electronic address of the FZLN, which is:
