Re: arrests resisting Big Mountain coal eviction

Whoever posted the message about the arrests at the homesite that Lawrence
Altsisi is claiming belongs to him is misinformed. Correction: There was
no bulldozer and there was no intent to tear down the structure.

Lawrence Altsisi has no grazing permit and the area is seriously
overgrazed. Only three people were arrested and they were arrested for
interfering with the lawful impoundment of Mr. Altsisi's sheep and goats
(approx. 20 animals).

This incident had nothing to do with coal. It had to do with trespass,
grazing without a permit, and interfering with Hopi Range Enforcement.
