This article was inadvertantly approved for the NATIVE-L list yesterday.
I had thought the article had been sent to the NAT-LANG (languages) list
and quickly approved the article without noticing that it was in fact sent
to this list, which excludes most questions in order to keep the number
of articles down to a manageable level. At some point, I hope to start
a mailing list devoted to questions and answers. At this point, I'm too
busy to do so, however.

Thanks to those of you who replied to this article. I will send the
original question, along with the replies that were submitted, to the
NAT-LANG list. For anyone who is not presently a subscriber to NAT-LANG
who is interested in seeing those replies, you can go to the NAT-LANG
Web-based archives at "http://bioc09.uthscsa.edu/natnet/archive/ng/" To
subscribe to NAT-LANG, send a message to "listserv@listserv.tamu.edu"
containing the single line:

sub nat-lang Your Name

where "Your Name" is replaced by your first and last names (middle name/
initial optional).
