What we realy need is for a whole bunch of people to write Congress
and get somebody like Senator Campbell to introduce and ram through a
bill granting a blanket recognition to the eighty-six California
tribes who aren't recognized now--and while he's at it, do something
for the Eastern tribes in the same boat as us!
Thank God I can get funding down here in Arizona--apparantly, the
University system here prohibits discrimating against non-recognized
tribes, I just needed proof of enrollment for most scholarships (but
this doesn't apply to private scholarships, of course!)
