My name is James Simermeyer. I am a student at Dartmouth College, class of
2000. My father is Coharie from N. Carolina and German, and my Mother is
Hispanic and Navajo from New Mexico.
I will be sending out a series of e-mails about what has been happening here on
campus at Dartmouth College. A few weeks ago a lu'au themed party was planned by
the fraternity AXA and the sorority Delta Delta Delta. Below is an e-mail sent
out to students inviting them to the party.

tomorrow night sounds like a lot of fun. we are having a luau at alpha chi and
i met wiht their social chairs early this week and they are really excited.
devito and i are meeting again to finish up all of hte plans. but here's the
deal:
1)DRESS UP PLEASE!!!! hawaiian style...
2) there will be authentic hawaiian music... i know that makes you want to come
already. =)
3)AWESOME DRINKS= margaritas, dacquaris (kimmer doesnt know how to spell), pina
coladas, pineapple punch etc
we're going to try to get pinatas and have scorpion bowls potentially and we're
thinking vodka in watermelons and pineapples and stuff
we'll have volleyball wiht those teekee lamps ( i really dont know how to spell
that one)
4)9:30 = that's when we should be there
5)we want to make this a night when we can open it up to our
non-tridelt/non-alpha chi friends. isnt that fun soINVITE ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS TO
COME AND JOIN AT 11 we'll take into account drinks for them.
6)now this is when we can use your HELP: we'd love to have jello shots (ok,
apparently we were supposed to have some american flag jello thing at our alpha
chi bbq= and i dont wnat to be a breaker of traditions, so i was thinking we
should ahve red, and blue, and i dont konw what we use for white but whatever
jello shots) it's not 7/4 but hell, hawaii is a state!
but the problem si that devito and i have a lot of other planning to do.
would someone make jello shots if we buy you the stuff please?
also, we'd love to have fruit salads= 1 alcoholic and 1 non-alcoholic. same
deal: given the ingredients, could i have any helpers please?
tomorrow will be quite festive and yummy. please make plans to ocome and please
