There are several organizations listed that work with tribes/native people's in
the CFC brochure. AISES (American Indian Science & Engineering Society) is one
of them. Feds and other public service employees can "pledge" via the CFC to
become Sequoyah Fellows and lifetime members of the society. Keep track of the
CFC contributions & once you've donated more than $1,100 - notify AISES with
copies (also let Georgia Madrid, NOAA -- chair of the AISES Government Relations
Board know, she's at: gmadrid@erl.noaa.gov). AISES information is available at
http://www.aises.org The AISES National Conference will be in Minneapolis, MN
in Nov. 18-20 also!
