English Only

I'm doing a report on Language for a class I'm taking at UAF. This bill
passed in Alaska in November of 98, but still hasen't been enacted. I
know that 26 other states have English Only or as the offical language in
these states. Could you tell me more about these states and how they felt
about this being passed. In the Alaska case, there are some exceptions as
to when other languages can be used. Is this true for the other cases.
I would like as much Info as i can get about this English only ....
